Reports To: Executive Director / Director of Operations
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (Nonexempt) | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Some evening and weekend flexibility required a few times per year

Are you passionate about supporting older adults and strengthening community connections? We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and community-driven Senior Neighborhood Advisor to play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for adults aged 60 and over.

A core goal of this role is helping older adults remain safely and independently in their own homes for as long as possible; connecting them with the resources, services, and support systems they need to thrive.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource, advocate, and connector; helping seniors access services, maintain independence, and stay engaged in their community.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Neighborhood Advisor, you will:

  • Provide information, guidance, and direct assistance to seniors seeking services and support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key community contacts and service providers
  • Conduct outreach through presentations, events, and informational materials
  • Perform client intakes to assess needs and connect individuals to appropriate programs
  • Meet with older adults in their homes, at the center, or in the community
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records and complete monthly reporting/data entry
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate senior services effectively
  • Plan and lead engaging activities (onsite and offsite) that support senior health and well-being
  • Support center operations as needed, including assisting with meals, front office duties, and food pantry services
What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 2 years of experience in human services (preferably working with older adults), or an equivalent combination
Core Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathy, patience, and active listening
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in dynamic situations
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, internet use, and data entry
Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check
